Jean Baptiste (The Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, Chris Brown) is a music producer who is currently recording in the same LA studio as Gaga.

For those of you who do not know, when Gaga was finishing up Born This Way and The Fame Monster, she also “locked down” the studio she was in at the time.

ARTPOP is almost here!

Emma, the wheelchair-bound Little Monster Gaga named her wheelchair after, just tweeted that Gaga has reached out to her and has offered to “hook her up” with the doctors who recently did her own hip surgery, and is flying Emma and her family out for a consultation.

Alright everyone.. This is something I’ve been hiding for almost a month now, and because it’s going to come out no matter what, I decided to tell you all that Gaga herself reached out to me and is hooking me up with her team of doctors, plus others, that did her surgery in NYC as I have been needing a hip replacement for quite some time (my left hip dislocated almost two weeks ago too.. I know, perfect timing, right?) do potentially do my procedure as well. We’re planning on flying out this weekend, all expenses paid, for a consult. She won’t be there, but the gesture is absolutely incredible and I broke down sobbing immediately afterwards. My entire immediate family is coming with me on this new journey and words can’t describe how incredibly BLESSED I am. I feel as though this whole thing was planned by God and it still hasn’t quite hit me yet. I would like to send a MASSIVE thank you to Gaga, her entire team, as well as Cynthia and Joe for doing an incredible job of raising the most beautiful person I know.. And of course GOD. I am going to end this here, but it is just part one of an incredible journey and I can’t wait to share it with you all. Thank you for being so amazing and supportive, I love you. Xoxo

Last night, ARTPOP producer DJ White Shadow posted this beat after tweeting he had been “in the studio ARTPOPping all day long”. The tweet that contained a link to this beat was then quickly removed for unknown reasons. Is this a possible beat from ARTPOP? What are your thoughts?

The hip injury that led to Lady Gaga’s canceled world tour last month will not prevent her from recording a jazz album with Tony Bennett as scheduled, Bennett told Rolling Stone in an interview Thursday in New York.

“We’re working on it from now until June, and then we’ll record in June. She’s phenomenal,” he said during a dinner at the Amy Winehouse Gala and Inspiration Awards, which recognized him with a Lifetime Achievement honor. “I get along great with her. She’s looking forward to it and so am I.”

Inspired by their lone collaboration, “The Lady Is a Tramp” for Bennett’s Duets II album, the pair plan to expand on their relationship when they enter a studio in Astoria, Queens. “Once you have an idea, then you go for it,” Bennett said. While they have not settled on a producer, Dae Bennett and Phil Ramone worked on the 2011 song.

In addition to Gaga’s vocal ability, Bennett added that her business sense also impresses him. He recalled admiring a skyscraper-length advertisement for Fame, her women’s fragrance line, during a visit to Germany last year. “She sold one billion bottles of perfume,” he said with a laugh.

“It’s the best time of my life right now,” he said. “I’m 86 years old and I really feel like I’m just starting out right now, because I want to prove that I can get better as I get older.” Asked if he plans to record other albums beyond this project, Bennett replied, “Absolutely. I’m studying all the time, learning as much as I can.”

According to WWD, Lady Gaga’s VOGUE issue, which features her photo shoot by Mert and Marcus, officially topped 2012 sales. At first it seemed like Taylor Swift got to sell more copies, but today the exact amount of copies sold was published.

For Vogue, Taylor Swift sold 329,371 copies, digital sales included, which was a little above the six-month average that ended in June 2012, but no match for Lady Gaga, the magazine’s top seller last year, with about 602,000 copies. Or for that matter, Adele, the second-best seller with 410,343. All numbers come from the publisher’s statements to the Alliance for Audited Media.

Lady Gaga is out of hiding and sporting a fabulous new accessory. Terry Richardson published photos of her in her new Chariot by KEN BOROCHOV of MORDEKAI.

Lady Gaga commissioned Ken to create a one of a kind wheelchair for her to recover in post-hip surgery. Ken has designed pieces for Gaga previously, he also has designed for Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Cher Lloyd to name a few. He says:

I certainly wasn’t expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen.

Quick facts about the wheelchair:
- Ken’s inspiration was the idea of a queen’s throne;
- The finished product is a 24 Karat gold plated chair with black buffed tufted calf leather seat complete with a removable leather canopy;
- The leather portions were inspired by a motorcycle jacket and produced in a car factory;
- It has a sexy high back and is able to recline all the way to 180 degrees if she needs to lie down;
- The wheels were special ordered spoke rim wheels from LA. They were gold plated in Dallas and assembled in Wisconsin;
- He had about 1 week to complete the project;

Also, the first Mordekai project for Gaga was the crown for her Guggenheim NY perfume launch and performance. The crown was 24kt plated and made in NYC in the diamond district.

The second project was another crown and a pair of bracelets for her Paris launch of THE FAME perfume. She used the bracelets and a set of armor nails I produced for her for the Harrod’s launch in London. That piece became known as the Claw.

The third moment was when she was set to perform with the Rolling Stones. She wore an S&M style cage on the way to the concert with a full Saint Laurent look and was photographed by Terry Richardson.
